Legion Beta: Survival Hunter PvP [First Look]!

Today we're taking a quick look of Survival Hunter PvP in Legion with some 2v2 matches to showcase. Overall, I like the new spec & re-design , but its very reliant on CD's to be competitive.

Youngboy Seb: i agree with all of this EXCEPT *snake hunter*. i believe snake hunter is an EXTREMELY powerful tool and less me kill people and still have *70% of my health left*. also snake hunter will be the way to go in legion because *our artifact abililty increases damage based on mongoose stacks*, so it's the best way to get your 6 stacks and outpost a TON of damage
7. Who Am i: wtf hunter without bow --' and more of that fight cac no cast
8. nmp lol: Surv is way better in 3s comps
9. armagedoc66: it would also be great if they could reduce the run speed buff's cd to 1.5 mins. 3 min cd is so stupid.

11. Alex Jessup: Been playing SV in lvl 100 BGs and it's a lot of fun. The main issue I feel like it has is when you get focused, there's just not a lot you can do to get away. Because of that, you end up just damage racing, which is less viable than the old SV hunter.
12. Scrimjaw: imo you shouldn't be using steel trap at all, freezing trap is a must in pretty much all pvp situations. esp nowadays that theres a lot less none mobility based cc
13. Alessandro Grossi: In my opinion you waste your harpoon on the Inc then you get kited, you could try a mount Inc saving your harpoon
14. Drama Queen: bro u r using a dot spec but trying to initiate 1st and nuke ppl. Let ur teammate initiate, put ur dots on main target than if u got bursted run away :D Bad play
15. MixelPlx: Spot on. It's a lot of fun but you're kinda screwed with the pre patch damage race due to a few classes. In legion, you can kinda keep it going.
16. MixelPlx: +1. Agree with you on everything. I do find Throwing Axes dmg/recharge to be kinda lacking tho
17. Oliver H.: im currently playing it on live, first thing is: Snake Hunter is invaluable for burst. Murder of Crows might be good for bursting someone quick in a duel, but for highdmg burst setups, Snake Hunter outruns MoC by far. Secondly Mok Nathal does require too much GCD to be kept up in pvp situations and is not really worth it other than if youre really just straight sitting one target for a longer time, which is usually not the case. On the other hand tho Animal Instincts rather kicks in on PvE than on PvP situations. Try Throwing Axes, its a situational pvp talent and helps upholding pressure if your target tries to get away from you and you do not have harpoon rdy to reconnect. I scored many kills with it. And do not make the mistake to underestimate its damage just because the dmg numbers on screen are small in size. Thirdly: Steel Trap definitely is a talent for 1v1 and should never be taken in Arenas if theres not heavy DR on your freezing trap due to your team composition. Go with improved traps as your Explosive Trap is your bread and butter dps spell anyway and having it on 15 seconds cooldown is a big dps boost compared to having an extra trap on 1 min. cooldown.
18. Evylyn: Cool vid man, also i find survival lacks an extra cc like a stun, we need something better than a root if u ask me, i also prefer either throwing axes(for 2s) or way of the mok'nathal(for 3s) but i i do love the dot spec, once u get all 6 dots up they melt xD
19. MixelPlx: Didn't think I'd like this spec, but it has a LOT of utility. Could be a lot of fun with more practice :D!
20. Hakeem Ramsey: it actually looks like after its all said and done, it'll end up being really OP
